Contract: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours/week)
Location: Skipton, North Yorkshire

NY Highways is looking for an experienced highways or construction professional to take on a key leadership role at our Skipton Depot. As our Senior Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the safe, efficient and high‑quality delivery of our highways and construction works from routine maintenance to major schemes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Senior Supervisor, you will be at the heart of our delivery operations. You will:

* Lead, mentor and support Supervisors, Depot Supervisors, operatives and subcontractors
* Oversee daily and strategic planning of all works programmes
* Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards
* Carry out inspections, inductions and IMS compliance activity
* Manage budgets, productivity and performance against delivery targets
* Provide accurate progress updates at stakeholder and client meetings
* Respond to emergencies and support the out‑of‑hours rota
* Deputise for the Operations Manager when required
* Support the development of Trainee Supervisors and future leaders

What We’re Looking For

You’ll bring:

· Strong experience in highways or construction at Supervisor, Agent, Foreman or Manager level

· HNC, NVQ4, Graduate Engineer qualification or equivalent experience

· Traffic Management qualifications (TM1, TM2, T7)

· Knowledge of NEC, ICE or JCT contracts

· Solid understanding of CDM regulations

· Confident leadership, problem‑solving and communication skills

· Flexibility to work out-of-hours and in adverse conditions

· Commitment to safety, quality and positive team culture
