Mount Pleasant Stables is recruiting a Senior Support Worker to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in the care sector who is passionate about supporting adults to live fulfilling, meaningful lives.
The Senior Support Worker will help lead the staff team, promote best practice, and ensure that every client receives high‑quality, person‑centred support. This is a key role within the service, offering the opportunity to influence positive outcomes and contribute to a supportive, therapeutic environment.
The Senior Support Worker will:
4. Support the staff team in delivering a high‑quality residential service.
5. Provide leadership, guidance and role‑modelling to less experienced colleagues.
6. Deliver therapeutic and personal care to clients.
7. Promote dignity, respect, independence, and choice in all aspects of support.
8. Build positive, trusting relationships with clients, families, and professionals.
9. Support clients through changes in relationships, routines and living circumstances.
10. Encourage emotional wellbeing, confidence, and self‑esteem.
11. Safeguard clients by remaining vigilant and following all relevant policies.
12. Contribute to a safe, stable, and empowering environment where clients can reach their full potential.
What we’re looking for:
13. Experience working in the care sector or a secure environment.
14. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to complete).
15. A commitment to person‑centred practice and positive outcomes.
16. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
17. A compassionate, respectful, and professional approach.
18. Flexibility to work a 24‑hour, 365‑day rota based on service needs.
