I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well established and growing UK manufacturer within the building hardware sector.
This is a senior, hands-on Technical Manager role responsible for leading product development, certification, compliance and technical support across a specialist engineered product range.
This position sits at the centre of Product, Sales and Operations, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, compliantly and to the highest technical standards.
The Role
* Lead technical projects from concept through to launch
* Manage product specification, development and testing processes
* Oversee certification and regulatory compliance requirements
* Liaise with external testing bodies and industry regulators
* Work closely with international manufacturing partners
* Support the sales team with technical expertise and customer guidance
* Conduct occasional customer site visits and technical training
* Identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement
About You
* Proven experience in a Technical Manager, Product Manager or similar technical leadership role
* Background within building hardware, engineered mechanical products or related sectors
* Strong knowledge of product testing, certification and compliance standards
* Experience working cross-functionally with sales, operations and manufacturing
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* A hands-on, solutions-focused mindset
