This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our Band 6 Neuroscience Rotations. The post holder will be employed as a Senior Physiotherapist and will have the opportunity to advance knowledge and experience in the following areas:
 * Neurosciences in-patients (Acute and Rehabilitation)
 * Stroke unit (Acute and Rehabilitation)
 * Spinal injuries
 * Neurosciences out-patients

The James Cook University Hospital is a major trauma centre providing a wide range of district general hospital services and specialist services such as neurosciences, renal medicine, spinal injuries, major trauma, cardiothoracic, vascular surgery and cancer services.
Main Duties
The post holder will work across The James Cook University Hospital and Redcar Primary Care Hospital, delivering physiotherapy services. The team is friendly and supportive, and mentorship will be available from Senior Specialist Physiotherapists and the Therapy Service Lead.
This role offers development in clinical and leadership skills, with a comprehensive training programme and support for CPD through workshops, clinical supervision, audit and research participation.
Senior responsibilities include developing clinical skills, supervising assistants and junior staff, and contributing to the clinical education of students.
The role is suitable for physiotherapists with significant postgraduate experience and an interest in neurological physiotherapy.
Person Specification
Experience
 * Experience working with patients with neuro conditions.
 * Experience working within the NHS.
 * Varied postgraduate experience across multiple clinical areas.
Knowledge
 * Knowledge of relevant national guidelines and standards.
 * Experience with audit and service development.
 * Multidisciplinary team working.
Qualifications
 * Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy.
 * Registered Physiotherapist with HCPC, fit to practice.
 * Committed to continuing professional development.

UK Registration
Applicants must have current UK professional registration.
