As Pastoral Support Manager you will,
1. Work closely with students, staff, and families to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and engagement.
2. Support the development and delivery of tailored interventions to address individual behavioural needs.
3. Collaborate with senior leaders and teachers to create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
4. Monitor and assess the effectiveness of behavioural strategies. Implementing necessary adjustments under the direction of the senior leadership team.
5. Provide one-to-one or small group support for students to help them develop self-regulation and coping strategies.
6. Maintain accurate records of behavioural incidents and progress.
7. Contribute and follow the tailored risk assessments.
8. Working alongside external professionals to support the outcomes of the student.
Person Specification
9. Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, particularly in behaviour management.
10. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
11. Knowledge of behaviour support strategies and interventions, including de-escalation techniques.
12. A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with challenging behaviours.
13. A commitment to promoting the emotional well-being and development of all students.
14. Good organisational and time management skills.
15. Ability to work within set boundaries.
16. Willingness to undertake training.
