Senior Software Engineer – £75,000 + Benefits + 1 Month Work Abroad – Leeds (.NET / AWS)
There’s a stage where Senior roles stop feeling like true engineering.
You’re still “Senior”, but you’re further from the decisions, further from the interesting problems, and closer to just delivering tickets.
Not in this role... not here... Here you’ll stay close to the core of the system - working on the parts that actually matter.
Complex problems, domain logic, performance, and how services are designed and evolve over time.
Most of your time will be hands‑on: building, refactoring and improving a product‑led platform that’s already processed over £3 billion.
So the challenges are real: scale, reliability, efficiency, and making sure the system holds up as it grows.
The work is a proper mix – some greenfield, some improving existing systems, some modernising older parts into newer .NET.
You’ll also play a part in shaping how things are built. Working closely with other senior engineers, contributing to domain design, architecture decisions and overall engineering standards.
It’s a product engineering environment – focused on building things properly, not churning out tickets.
You’ll support junior engineers and help raise the bar, but without being pushed into management. If you want to step into a Lead role later on, that path is there and Senior Engineers here have grown into Architects, Leads and Staff Engineers.
