We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our busy Vendor Flex Distribution Centre based in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent position offering £31,208 per annum.
On Offer:
£13.19 per hour (£31,208 per annum)
45.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday (06:00 - 15:30) with 1 shift per week reduced hours (06:00 - 13:30)
Overtime available
Please note there is not public transport routes to our factory, therefore you will need your own transport!
The Role
To support the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently, while maintaining a safe working environment for all colleagues.
Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative:
Using a scanner to pick, pack and dispatch direct to customer orders for our range of pet foods
Carry out general warehouse duties as required
Follow safety instructions and procedures at all times
Work in a safe manner ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues, raising any concerns through the appropriate channels
Skills, Experience and Qualifications of the Warehouse Operative:
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
FLT Counterbalance experience is desirable
Physically fit with the ability to lift up to 25kg and remain on your feet for long periods
Good level of numeracy and literacy to ensure accurate labelling of products
Experience of working within a fast-paced team environment
