The role of Assembly Specialist is intended to act as the technical focal point for the Assembly Manufacturing Engineering activities. The role will operate as a consultant across all production programmes, assisting ME colleagues to deliver the necessary engineering capability to facilitate the successful on-time delivery of assembled products, in accordance with both cost and quality targets. Job Requirements Benefits (Continued) - Safran referral scheme - refer someone for a job and you may qualify for a £1,000 reward - Electric car charging points on site - Enter a draw to win a Burnley Football Club hospitality match day experience - Fully funded quarterly site team-building events What do you need from me? - Proficient in CATIA (v5) or functionally similar CAD software package. - Proficient in SAP or similar ERP system. - Proficient in Team Centre or equivalent PLM system. - Proficient in preparing and validating Aerospace Manufacturing Documentation, including (but not limited to) Work Instruction Sheets, Bill of Materials, Routings (Work Flow Followers), DVI & PPAP content. - Specialist knowledge of Aerospace Assembly processes such as: - Component location and holding techniques. - Drilling Composite / Metallic structures. - Preparing and installing solid and liquid shims. - Minor repair techniques for paint and other surface treatments. - Earthing / electrical continuity testing. - Functional testing techniques. - Dimensional verification (metrology) techniques for Aerospace applications. A strong candidate would have / be; - An Engineering Degree (BEng / MEng) or equivalent proven experience within the topics listed above. - A proven background in a highly-regulated, technically complex environment. - A demonstrable logical thought process, being able to explain complex manufacturing processes in basic language. - Able to communicate (using both written and verbal methods) at the right time and at the right level. - Driven by Continuous improvement (Data Driven / Lean Sigma approach) - Empowering and supportive in nature. - A strong negotiator / facilitator.
