Events Manager, Professional Services. Location: Bailrigg, Lancaster, UK. Salary: £26,707 to £30,378 (Full-Time/Indefinite). Closing Date: Thursday 21 May 2026. Interview Date: Thursday 04 June 2026. Reference: 0281-26. Please note: this job is only available to current employees of Lancaster University. This is a great opportunity to join the Conferences and Events team. We are looking for a dynamic colleague with experience in events planning or a background in the hospitality/residential sector, with a strong customer focus and excellent written and organisational skills, to join a busy team.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of the different conferences and events throughout the year; manage three full-time venues; supervise a team of events coordinators.
* Be the main point of contact for events handed over by the Business Development team.
* Liaise with other campus departments to ensure the good delivery of events.
* Ensure venues are compliant with Health and Safety standards at all times.
* Manage customers and respond to comments, compliments and complaints.
* Support the Conferences and Events Operations Manager.
Work Pattern
This is a full-time role starting ASAP. 36.5 hours per week, with occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends; time off in lieu. Primarily based at the Lancaster University Bailrigg campus, with flexible working available when business demand allows.
