Customer Delivery Driver - Braintree Marks Farm Superstore

Rate of pay: Starts from £13.35 an hour; increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We offer an *minimum* of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with flexibility down to 12 hours if desired.
Availability Window
* Sun: 09:00 – 19:00
* Mon: 09:00 – 19:00
* Tue: 08:00 – 13:00
* Wed: 08:00 – 13:00
We provide 3‑week notice of exact shifts; flexibility is supported.
About the role
Your responsibilities include:
* Ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidy.
* Leaving the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish.
* Washing trays as part of the tray wash process.
* Loading the van as required and checking roadworthiness.
* Communicating with customers about changes, substitutions and offering refunds.
* Taking care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
* Explaining that no extra charge will be made for substitutions.
* Delivering within the customer’s time slot.
* Calling the customer before arriving if early.
* Calling the store if running 30 or more minutes late.
Requirements
* Build relationships with colleagues, creating team spirit.
* Warm and welcoming interactions with customers and colleagues.
* Act quickly to respond to changing customer needs.
* Energetic, driven and dedicated to delivering beyond expectations.
* Share ideas with your Manager to improve the store.
* Hold a valid UK/EU/EEA driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
