Various buildings across the Ashfield district

The Facilities Management Service is seeking a skilled and professional individual to support the manager of the Ashfield area in Nottinghamshire. The purpose of the post is to assist the Account Manager in delivering a quality cleaning and site management service to a diverse range of clients in the Ashfield area. These clients include schools, academies, fire stations, depots, libraries, and other Nottinghamshire County Council sites and offices. Principal tasks will include assisting in managing approximately 150 frontline employees and ensuring that over 50 individual customers receive effective building cleaning and caretaking services.

The working hours are 37 hours per week, mostly on a split shift basis between 6:00 am and 6:30 pm, with exact times varying. The role requires traveling around the Ashfield area to multiple locations daily, necessitating access to personal transport (use of a works vehicle may be an option).


We are looking for an individual who:

* Has experience in building cleaning and caretaking roles.
* Has some supervisory experience within a facilities service contract management environment, ideally in building cleaning or caretaking.
* Is flexible with working hours during the day.
* Possesses good customer care and client management skills in a sales and trading environment.
* Is organized and methodical in problem-solving approaches.


Main duties of the post include:

* Assisting the Account Manager with recruiting and maintaining staffing levels.
* Mobilizing mobile and cover staff within the Ashfield area.
* Conducting regular site inspections to ensure standards are maintained.
* Supporting staff performance, conduct, and absence management.
* Ensuring all site documentation is current and correctly displayed.
* Meeting and advising customers across various sites to ensure quality service delivery.
* Covering for staff absences in cleaning, caretaking, or site management roles as needed.

Appointment to this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
