About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef, with the passion and ability to drive kitchen operations and provide support to the team. Reporting to the Executive Chef, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day culinary operations in our bistro The Warwick. This will include training, compliance and monitoring of food quality to ensure consistent standards are achieved. As a Sous Chef, you will also lead the team in providing culinary excellence at our state-of-the-art Meetings and Events venue, featuring a stunning Event Centre and Grand Ballroom.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the day to day running of the Bistro kitchen operations
* Lead the Banquet functions and monitor day-to-day performance
* Ensure all food operations are compliant with relevant regulations
* Motivate and lead the team to create a memorable experience for all customers
* Communicate effectively with management and staff
* Aid in the proposal and development of menu plans
* Complete orders and oversee stock control
About you:
* Previous experience in a High Volume Bistro is essential to the role
* Exposure to conferencing & events style kitchen operations
* Highly organised with the ability to supervise, support and lead the team in kitchen operations
* Proven knowledge of all facets of food production and superior food and culinary skills
* Strong enthusiasm, passion, and creativity
* Enjoy working to high standards in a fast-paced environment
