Role: Construction Contracts & Credit Control Supervisor
Location: Northampton
We are exclusively partnering with a reputable and well-established business based in Northampton to recruit an Experienced Construction Contracts & Credit Control Supervisor.
As the Constructions Contracts & Credit Control Supervisor you will be supporting the finance and commercial function with a strong focus on contract management, valuations, and credit control. The role would suit someone who enjoys working closely with contracts, has a good eye for detail, and is confident managing financial processes in a project-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
* In-depth review of customer contracts, negotiate with contractors, and escalate issues where required
* Apply for stage payments and off-site goods payments, including valuations and vesting certificates
* Maintain schedules of valuation dates and retention registers
* Reconcile and actively chase retention amounts, including raising contract valuations
* Reconcile contract ledger debtors and review customer credit terms
* Chase customer payments and resolve contract-related queries promptly
* Produce sales invoices and post cash receipt journals
* Maintain contract orders and warranties registers
Skills & Experience Required
* Background in construction, legal, or contract compliance environments – Quantity surveying experience would be a advantageous
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
* Confidence working with numbers and financial data
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
* Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
* Experience working with stage payments and retention schedules
* Exposure to contract valuations and construction finance processes
* Familiarity with credit control within a project-led business
