Nanny Opportunity - The Lucas Family | North Wales / Cheshire Borders Live-in or live-out | Full or part-time | Starting as soon as possible
We're a big, busy, loud, loving family of six - four children aged 3 to 8 (three boys and a girl), a house full of animals, and a life lived very much outdoors. Our home is a beautiful country estate with acres of land, a treehouse adventure park, and the kind of chaos and laughter that makes every day feel like an adventure.
About the role: Flexible for discussion, but likely you'll work 3‑4 days per week (7am‑7pm), with a mix of shared charge alongside Beth (mum) and sole charge when needed. We usually have nanny cover in place when we travel. We home school, with two specialist tutors already in place covering the academic side. Your role is to bring warmth, structure, energy, and fun to the fabric of daily family life – not to be a teacher, but to be a brilliant, trusted presence.
Character over CVs. We've had brilliant nannies with years of experience and brilliant nannies who were relatively new to the role – what they all had in common was warmth, confidence, and a genuine love of children and the outdoors. We'd love to hear from you if you:
* Are warm, proactive, and take real pride in what you do
* Love the outdoors and aren't afraid of mud, dogs, or adventure
* Are comfortable with the rhythm of a large family and enjoy being part of a team
* Can hold appropriate boundaries while being genuinely fun and engaged
* Drive (essential), and are flexible to the occasional overnight every fortnight
* Paediatric First Aid and an enhanced DBS are required (or we can support you in obtaining these)
If you'd like to live in, we have a beautiful, fully self‑contained one‑bedroom flat on the grounds – recently renovated, with countryside views and complete privacy. On‑site you'll also have access to a fully equipped gym, hot tub, and wood‑fired sauna. We provide a Range Rover Sport for nursery and family duties. Salary is competitive and negotiable based on your experience and what you bring to the role. Most importantly: we're a family who genuinely looks after the people who look after us. We are still close to many of our previous nannies and are very happy for you to speak to them directly before making any decisions.
