We have an exciting role on offer within our Neighbourhoods as a Community Development Officer.
About Us
An exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our Neighbourhood Model across Middlesbrough. As a result, x 8 Community Development Officer posts have been created to actively work with local communities, identify needs, develop and support the implementation of sustainable programmes, supporting and building resilience and community capacity.
One of the key principles of the Neighbourhood Model is the community approach, promoting a high level of resident, community, and stakeholder involvement. Working 'with' and not 'to' our communities you will consult with residents and other stakeholders to develop plans, structures and systems that will influence the delivery of the project.
To be successful in this role you need excellent communication skills and have experience of creating and delivering community projects and a full clean driving license.
You will have a responsibility for working as part of a team as well as independently using your own initiative. You will be an exceptional communicator who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of Middlesbrough communities and have the personal skills to carry this out.
