The Prospect Trust is a leading Multi-Academy Trust in the South of England, with an aim of providing outstanding education for all learners within a family of local academies. There are currently three academies within the Trust: The Sixth Form College Farnborough, Tomlinscote School and Frimley Church of England Junior School.

The College will, as one of the region's most distinguished providers of 16-19 education, be at the heart of this undertaking sharing expertise, skill and leadership.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well-qualified graduate able to teach singing lessons to students focusing on singing predominantly in a classical style. There are currently 2 hours of teaching available with the view to expanding the amount of hours in September.

* Innovative use of IT to promote learning embedded as a regular part of normal teaching.

The Curriculum Area of Music

There are currently four specialist teachers in the Music department who teach Eduqas Music A level and Edexcel BTEC Music Performance and Edexcel Music Technology to over one hundred and fifty students. There are also currently thirteen specialist instrumental/vocal teachers.

The Post of Singing Tutor

We are looking for a teacher who displays the following characteristics:

* A thoughtful and self-reflective approach to pedagogy;
* A desire to be an outstanding practitioner of classical singing;
* Ability to demonstrate a variety of teaching methods;
* An ability to teach students covering a wide range of abilities and experiences;
* A passion for their voice;
* Excellent performance and theoretical knowledge and a desire to build on this; and an
* Enthusiasm for working with 16-19 year old students.

In addition, we are looking for a candidate who recognises the critical importance of developing our students' literacy and numeracy skills and will implement this as an integral part of their teaching.

The successful applicant is expected to be flexible, not afraid to meet challenges, and innovative in their approach to teaching.
