About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people and systems in place to grow the company and maintain financial strength and operating efficiency. The COO is the company’s second‑in–command and focuses on leading and engaging people, driving sustainable growth, and maintaining a positive culture.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

* Leadership & Management
o Lead and oversee business support functions to deliver high quality services to clients and stakeholders.
o Provide training, coaching and mentoring to team members and ensure teams maintain competence in relation to legal and regulatory issues.
o Monitor staffing levels to meet customer demands and service levels.
* Collaboration
o Work with teams to ensure delivery against the strategic direction set by the CEO and Board, including setting clear targets, financial planning and risk management.
o Collaborate with Production, Commercial, Document Services, IT, Projects (Reception) to maintain effective processes.
o Formulate technology priorities and work with IT to deliver them.
o Interpret business policy with Compliance and HR to design quality assurance processes.
* Continuous Improvement
o Identify and implement solutions across Production, Commercial, Document Services, IT, Projects.
o Ensure robust data is available for performance monitoring and strategic decision‑making.
o Proactively monitor trends to shape product and service offerings.
o Maintain and develop own skills, knowledge and behaviours and stay current with regulatory standards.
* Growth
o Participate in expansion activities (investments, acquisitions, corporate alliances) and assist in raising capital.
* Reporting
o Provide regular reporting to the CEO and stakeholders on business and team performance.
* Relationship Management
o Manage relationships with partners, suppliers and clients as the professional face of the business.
