Job Description
Reed is partnering with a large legal practice in Bingley who are looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is client-focused and prides themselves on delivering a professional, helpful, and friendly service. The position involves working with both residential and new build property teams.
Day-to-day of the role:
· Open new files and input new instructions onto the Case Management system, producing relevant letters and documents
· Update the Case Management system in accordance with team procedures as the matter progresses
· Issue contracts on sale files and assist in dealing with replies to enquiries
· Order searches and handle exchanges and related paperwork
· Set up completions and issue Mortgage reports to clients
· Manage incoming post and handle telephone enquiries where possible
· Perform general office tasks such as filing, billing, faxing, photocopying, sorting post, and archiving
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· Good keyboard skills with the ability to work accurately
· Literate and numerate with a customer-friendly and effective approach to enquiries
· Experience in conveyancing, specifically sales and purchase, is essential
· Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines
· A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the capability to work on own initiative and as a member of a team
