This is a full-time, fully remote legal document production position working the night shift.
Hugely reputable US law firm is currently recruiting an experienced and technical Legal Document Production Specialist for their in-house department on a full-time, permanent basis, working fully remotely. The salary for this role is £60,000, dependent on skills and experience.
The position involves working night shifts starting from 9pm, with flexible finish times and options for 9 or 10-hour shifts across 3 or 4 nights per week. This is a condensed hours, full-time permanent role.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Preparing, proofreading, and quality-checking legal and non-legal documents for content, context, and accuracy.
* Formatting, editing, and styling complex Word documents, including mail merge, large tables, TOC, and TOA.
* Assisting as backup to the coordinator by performing intake reviews on general job requests.
* Maintaining shift logs, job requests, and managing deadlines.
* Creating, editing, and formatting technical drawings, graphics, and organizational charts.
* Managing large and complex document production projects, documenting instructions, expectations, and context.
* Staying current with new approaches and technological changes in legal document production software.
Technical Skills and Experience Required:
* Proficiency in templates and house styles.
* Extensive experience in a Legal Document Production role within medium to large law firms.
* Advanced MS Office skills and familiarity with software like Visio and Adobe Acrobat.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Effective communication of job specifications and confidence in dealing with multiple users.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
