Maintenance Engineer
Cannock
3 Shift pattern
Circa £45,000
Our client is a market-leading Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer seeking a maintenance engineer to join their team on a 3-shift pattern. The company offers a great work environment and supplies into a wide variety of automotive OEMs.
Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Engineer
* Prioritize maintenance activities, including breakdowns and corrective tasks.
* Direct and support resources to respond effectively to breakdowns.
* Perform corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.
* Address tasks identified on maintenance or improvement requests.
* Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded.
* Attend daily production meetings and provide feedback on daily requirements.
* Ensure all plant and equipment scheduled for TPM are available when practical.
* Update the annual maintenance plan.
* Maintain spare parts inventory and record all expenditures within budget.
* Record all work carried out on machines or equipment using standard report formats.
* Oversee comprehensive shift handovers of information.
* Identify when specialist assistance is required and liaise with external suppliers to complete tasks.
* Maintain a library of manuals and drawings.
Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Engineer
* Fault find and correct problems on equipment.
* Call out specialists or contractors when necessary.
* Experience with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
* Experience with plastic injection moulding, including tooling maintenance, cleaning, and insert changes (250 to 1750T).
* PLC fault finding and programming skills.
* Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
* Qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
* Overhead Crane licence.
* Knowledge of 17th edition regulations.
