LCV MOT Tester needed in Coventry, Warwickshire - Main Dealer
Salary: Up to £45,000 basic | OTE £48,000
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:00 – 17:00, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a qualified Commercial MOT Tester to join a reputable main dealer in Coventry. This role offers excellent earning potential, a comprehensive benefits package, and the chance to work in a modern, well-equipped workshop servicing commercial vehicles.
As a Commercial MOT Tester, you will be responsible for performing MOT inspections on a range of light and heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring all work meets DVSA regulations and manufacturer standards.
Key Responsibilities as a LCV MOT Tester:
1. Carry out Class 4 & Class 7 MOT tests in compliance with DVSA regulations
2. Conduct inspections and fault diagnosis on commercial vehicles
3. Maintain accurate service and MOT records
4. Ensure all repairs and inspections meet manufacturer and safety standards
5. Provide high levels of customer service and professional advice
6. Assist with workshop workflow to maintain efficiency and quality
Requirements needed for the LCV MOT Tester Role:
7. NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
8. Valid MOT Tester Licence (Class 4 & 7)
9. Full UK driving licence
10. Experience working in a main dealer or commercial vehicle workshop
11. Strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently
