Job Description
Large slaughterhouses and animal by‑products installations must use ‘Best Available Techniques’ (BAT) to reduce emissions. You will draft BAT Conclusions, liaise with Technical Working Groups, and present final documents for publication as UK‑wide environmental standards.
Responsibilities
* Draft BAT Conclusions and prepare technical documents.
* Collaborate with technical working groups and stakeholders.
* Create clear, publishable standards and reports.
* Support incident management and training.
* Travel and overnight stays as required.
Experience & Qualifications
* At least 5 years of experience in environmental regulation within the slaughterhouse and animal by‑products industry.
* Expert knowledge of UK & EU industrial environmental legislation (IED, Environmental Permitting Regulations).
* Strong data analysis and technical writing skills.
* Project management abilities with a drive for completion.
* Excellent communication, relationship‑building, and consensus‑building skills.
