Primary Objectives: Under the guidance of the Financial Controller (FC), you will be primarily responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing of all goods and supplies in the hotel, ensuring efficient stock control and timely delivery to all departments. The role demands a high standard of organization and accuracy. General Responsibilities: Receive, inspect, and log all deliveries, ensuring accuracy and quality against purchase orders. Use the hotel purchasing system, Procure Wizard to record deliveries, track inventory, and assist with purchase order management. Store goods securely and systematically maintaining stock rotation. Maintain accurate inventory records, including regular stock counts and reconciliations. Issue items promptly to hotel departments, ensuring requests are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. Monitor stock levels and notify management of low-stock or obsolete items. Ensure all storage areas are clean, organised, and comply with health, safety and hygiene standards. Ensure storage areas meet food safety and hygiene standards, including monitoring of temperature-controlled areas, checking for contamination risks, and maintaining cleanliness. Record and monitor critical control points (CCPs) in line with the hotels HACCP procedures, including temperature logs, product handling, and expiry checks. Report any deviations from critical controls immediately and assist in corrective actions. Assist in waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability initiatives where possible. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of items. Support internal audits and inventory control processes as required. Maintain effective communications with all departments. Attend all meetings and training courses requested. Accept flexible working hours where necessary to achieve goals and objectives. Continuously seek to improve your departments effective operations. Ensure that all tasks and checklists are carried out and completed on shift. Health and Safety Comply with all hotel health and safety policies and procedures. Use manual handling equipment safely and correctly. Wear and maintain appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety footwear, and high-visibility clothing, as required. Identify and report any hazards, unsafe practices, or maintenance issues in storage and delivery areas. Participate in health and safety training as required. Ensure stock is stacked safely to prevent accidents or injury. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment at all times. Skills and Qualifications: Previous experience in stores, inventory management, or warehouse operations, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality environment is desirable. Familiarity with inventory management/purchasing systems is desirable. Strong numeracy and organisational skills. Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Physically able to handle stock, including lifting and moving items safely.
