Multi Skilled Engineer
We are recruiting for an enthusiastic individual to join our team on the Akzo Nobel site based in Stowmarket, Suffolk. This role will play a key part in supporting our client’s site operations. CBRE seeks a candidate with an electrical or mechanical background, who is keen to develop their skills while working as part of a dynamic team. We will provide all the necessary tools for growth and development based on your job role and interests.
Responsibilities and Daily Activities
 * Understand and comply with all client and CBRE QHSE policies and procedures.
 * Actively participate in Health, Safety, Environment, Sustainability and Quality initiatives.
 * Support successful delivery and upkeep of contractor logbooks to meet CBRE QHSE compliance requirements in preparation for audits.
 * Ensure PPMs are carried out to a high standard and on time, adhering to contract KPI/SLA requirements.
 * Complete necessary paperwork accurately and submit feedback directly into the contract QHSE systems.
 * Participate in small projects and additional work.
 * Review quotes from sub-contractors.
 * Ensure the site complies with mandatory safety requirements for all aspects of site facilities and utilities.
 * Diagnose faults and restore equipment as required.
 * Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and perform repairs.
 * Stay current with relevant legalisation changes within the industry.
 * Create Permit to Work requests and manage maintenance activities.
 * Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
 * Act as deputy in the absence of line management.
Qualifications and Skills
 * Good ICT skills – word processing, spreadsheets, and standard Microsoft Office systems.
 * Good planning and organisational skills.
 * Ability to multi-task and manage workload effectively.
 * Take responsibility for initiating and completing tasks, managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
 * Meet the physical requirements of the role: standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 20 kg or more.
 * Mechanical or Electrical background.
 * Strong communicator with confident oral and written skills.
 * Strong organisational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
 * Knowledge and awareness of the facilities management industry.
