Employment Adviser
Role at The Fedcap Group (Fedcap UK). Location: Skelmersdale, WN8 6NN. Hours: Mon‑Fri 9am‑5pm. Contract: Fixed‑term until at least 16/01/2026. Salary: £27,642 to £29,407.
Overview
As an Employment Adviser you will support people who are long‑term unemployed and participating in the Department for Work and Pensions Restart Scheme. You will assess individual needs, create tailored action plans, write CVs, provide skills development and job search assistance, and work with specialised services for complex needs.
Responsibilities
* Ensure personal performance targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are met.
* Manage a caseload of customers, hold initial appointments, and produce SMART action plans based on job readiness.
* Produce CVs, cover letters and other documentation to support job applications.
* Address personal barriers to employment and support customers through a structured pathway of activities.
* Identify, structure and recommend wellbeing and training solutions in consultation with the team.
* Meet targets designed to support positive outcomes, innovate and develop networks.
Qualifications
* Proven experience working in a target‑driven environment.
* High levels of attention to detail, accuracy and customer record maintenance.
* Experience with Microsoft 365; CRM solutions an advantage.
* Strong rapport building, understanding and empowerment of individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with complex needs (substance misuse, mental health).
* Excellent listening, coaching, motivating, questioning skills.
* High emotional intelligence.
* CV writing skills.
* Organisational and time‑management skills, ability to manage a varied caseload.
