Responsibilities: Software Testing Review requirements, design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for the AMAS robotics control software. Perform manual and automated testing across software releases. Develop and maintain automated test script (Playwright, Jest SuperTest) Validate system behaviour, edge cases, and failure scenarios. Identify, document, and track bugs using Jira. Collaborate with developers to reproduce and diagnose issues. Hardware & Integration Testing Test software interacting with robotic components such as arms, end-effectors, sensors, and controllers. Conduct integration testing between software modules and hardware interfaces. Maintain hardware matrix support and regression test hardware combinations. Validate safety mechanisms and fault handling. Quality Processes Define and improve QA processes and testing standards. Build and maintain automated & manual regression test suites. Maintain quality across current and legacy versions of the software. Participate in sprint planning and ensure test coverage for new features. Support release validation and regression testing. Collaboration Work closely with product management and engineering to clarify requirements. Provide feedback on testability, usability, and reliability of features. Contribute to the continuous improvement of product quality. Drive the closure of release-blocking bugs with the relevant stakeholders Customer Support Respond to customer support requests and coordinate resolution between stakeholders. Track support & update support tickets from receipt to closure. Familiarity with support tracking tools (e.g. Jira) Create and maintain customer troubleshooting and FAQ articles Validate tasks for specific customer use cases. Required Skills Experience in software quality assurance or software testing Strong understanding of test planning, test case design, and defect tracking Experience testing APIs, control systems, or integration-heavy software Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work in a cross-functional team in an agile environment Nice-to-have Experience testing robotics, embedded systems, or hardware-integrated software Familiarity with automation testing frameworks Experience with Python or scripting for test automation Experience working with robotic components, such as robotic arms, dextrous hands, and humanoids, is desirable. Where necessary, travel may be required.
