Key Functions of the Role: Deliver high-quality lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and guidelines. Create an engaging and supportive classroom environment that motivates students to participate and progress. Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a safe and respectful atmosphere at all times. Adapt teaching strategies to meet the varying needs of primary school students, including those with additional needs. Follow lesson plans provided or create impromptu lessons when required. Build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents during short- and medium-term assignments. Criteria for the Position: A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, or equivalent). Familiarity with the UK education system and curriculum. Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to engage and motivate students. Willingness to work on a casual basis with availability to cover at short notice. Experience working in mainstream primary settings is desirable ; prior experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a valued bonus.
