We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking, organised individual to join our small team on a Saturday and Sunday. Located near Tattenhall, just 9 miles outside of Chester, The Boathouse at Tattenhall Marina offers a unique destination for moorers and guests to socialise.
Main Purpose of Job:
To prepare and serve our menu of drinks and light bites including coffee, draught & bottled beers, wines & spirits alongside a small menu or pies and sandwiches. You will be serving customers, taking and preparing orders and clearing tables.
Reporting Responsibility:
Reports to the Marina Manager.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Greet and seat customers and take orders.
* Prepare food and beverages, ensuring quality and presentation.
* Maintain a clean, hygienic environment, adhering to food safety procedures.
* Operate the till system, process payments, and manage stock levels.
* Handle customer queries and complaints politely, recording issues for management.
* Assist with events and ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations.
* Perform additional tasks as requested by the line manager.
About The Role
Person Specification
1. Education and Qualifications
* Level 2 Award in Food Safety and Hygiene (training will be provided).
* Fluent in spoken and written English.
2. Experience
* Previous bar or waiting experience is desirable.
* Experience with till operation and cash handling is desirable.
3. Skills and Attributes
* Excellent communication skills and high standards of personal presentation.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, using initiative.
* Friendly, well-organized team player with a flexible approach to work.
Due to the location of the marina, own transport is essential.
