Job Title: Sports Coach (Primary Schools)

Role Overview
As a Sports Coach, you will be responsible for delivering a variety of sports sessions to primary school children on a weekly basis. You will plan and lead PE lessons in line with the National Curriculum, run structured lunch clubs to encourage active play, and deliver after-school clubs that develop children's skills, confidence, and enjoyment of sport.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging PE lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
* Organise and lead lunchtime and after-school clubs with a focus on participation, teamwork, and fun.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment for all children.
* Encourage and support children of all abilities to develop skills, confidence, and enthusiasm for sport.
* Manage equipment and resources effectively.
* Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and colleagues.
* Promote the values of teamwork, fair play, and healthy lifestyles.
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
Essential Requirements
* Experience working with children, ideally within a school or sports coaching environment.
* Strong knowledge of a variety of sports and physical activities.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to engage, motivate, and manage groups of children.
* A positive role model with a passion for sport and physical activity.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain).
* Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., Level 2 Coaching, PE/Sports-related degree, or equivalent).
* Safeguarding and First Aid training (or willingness to complete).
* Driving License
Desirable
* Previous experience delivering PE in primary schools.
* Multi-sports coaching background.
* Additional specialist qualifications (e.g., football, gymnastics, dance).

Pay: £30.00-£100.00 per day
Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

* Sports coaching: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
* DBS (preferred)
