Are you looking for an exciting development opportunity within the Engineering field?
The Doncaster business unit has manufactured glass containers since 1968 and is part of a leading supplier in glass packaging solutions for the world’s leading brands such as Coca Cola, Corona and Nestle. We are seeking to strengthen our team with the recruitment a number of Apprentices at Ardagh Glass Doncaster.
Our apprenticeship programme gives you the opportunity to experience all engineering departments within the plant whilst attending college, gain a nationally recognised qualification & carry out workplace training in a challenging yet exciting manufacturing industry!
Responsibilities:
* Assisting the engineering teams with maintenance tasks to learn about the application of engineering
* Developing skills in Electrical/Mechanical engineering within a manufacturing work environment
* Gaining a sound knowledge of the plant equipment and facilities
* Developing an understanding of Continuous Improvement
* Familiarisation with the company’s systems and procedures
* Sourcing and updating engineering documentation and inputting engineering activities into a maintenance system
Required skills / qualifications:
* Have an interest in manufacturing engineering
* Have strong communication skills and an ability to work as part of a team
* Have a high regard for safety, quality, compliance, systems and procedures
* A technical mind with a methodical approach to tasks and problems
* Have a minimum grade 4 (C) GCSE or above in Maths, English and Science
