When equipment stops, you're the person people want on shift. If you're the kind of engineer who can walk into a breakdown, get to the root cause quickly, and keep production moving, this role will feel right at home. Youwill be supporting planned maintenance, breakdown response, and overall equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where no two days are ever quite the same.
This is a well-established, large-scale manufacturing operation with a strong focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. The site operates high-volume production processes where engineering performance is critical to overall output. You'll be joining a stable, skilled maintenance team with a strong emphasis on teamwork, problem-solving, and keeping production running efficiently. Shift Pattern
3-shift rotating system:

Fault diagnosis on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, responding quickly to breakdowns
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to schedule
Completing engineering maintenance tasks within assigned areas
Updating CMMS records for breakdowns, downtime and maintenance history
Ensuring effective shift handovers where applicable
Maintaining safe working practices in line with 6S and risk assessments
Ensuring plant and equipment is correctly serviced, maintained and calibrated
Providing flexible support across departments when required
Time-served apprenticeship in engineering or HNC (or equivalent) in maintenance/manufacturing engineering
Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical and electrical systems
Plant-based role within a busy manufacturing environment focused on reliability, safety, and performance.
