There is the opportunity of a lifetime to teach at one of our extraordinary schools, XP School. We need someone to teach Maths and/or Science as part of our highly regarded expeditionary learning curriculum. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Secondary specialist to develop activism, leadership and equity in our students by creating beautiful products and important work that will change the world.
Teaching STEAM at XP
At XP, Science is taught through our learning expeditions, where scientific understanding is developed through authentic, real-world contexts that matter to students and their communities. For example, during the Power to the People expedition, students explored the chemistry and physics of energy production, sustainability, and climate change. Their work culminated in the school’s first Climate Conference, now held annually, where students presented their research to local leaders, industry professionals, and the wider public. This approach enables our students to act as scientists – asking questions, analysing data, and using evidence to engage others in tackling the challenges that shape our shared future.
