Senior Associate / Partner – Commercial Property -Birmingham City Centre

Position: Senior Associate / Salaried Partner (DOE)
PQE: 7+ years
Salary: £72,000 – £85,000 + benefits
We are working with a highly regarded multi-office Legal 500 firm seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Associate or Salaried Partner to join their well-established Commercial Property team in central Birmingham.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially-minded lawyer to step into a senior leadership role, driving forward the department’s growth and development while supervising junior lawyers and managing a varied and high-quality caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
Transactional Work –
* Drafting, negotiating and completing leases, licences, agreements for lease and related documentation
* Acting for SMEs in the purchase and sale of commercial property
* Advising bridging lenders and other lenders in secured property finance matters
* Acting for Receivers, Liquidators, and Administrators on property sales
* Handling property aspects of corporate transactions (e.g. share sales, mergers, restructures)
* Conducting property due diligence, reviewing title, leases, searches, etc.
Team Leadership –
* Supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
* Conducting regular supervision meetings
* Supporting team development and contributing to department strategy
Requirements:
* Minimum 7 years’ PQE in commercial property law
* Strong technical and drafting ability
* Experience supervising junior lawyers
* Excellent communication, commercial awareness, and client care skills
* Proactive approach to business development and team growth
* Ambition to play a leadership role in a growing team
