The role of a Customer Service Representative is to provide customers with outstanding service, taking ownership of transactional or service requests and answering product queries. They also educate customers about HSBC self‑service devices and digital platforms, helping them choose the best way to bank with us.
Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional face‑to‑face customer service in a timely manner while working in a fast‑paced, busy branch environment and adhering to our policies and procedures.
* Process a wide range of transactions while maintaining a high degree of accuracy.
* Have excellent attention to detail.
* Play a supporting role in educating customers around HSBC self‑service devices and alternative digital banking platforms.
* Collaborate as part of the dynamic branch team and actively seek to improve workflows and processes to make banking with HSBC easier for our customers.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage in effective conversations, build strong connections and show empathy to customers.
* Take ownership of customer enquiries through to resolution, delivering a personalised, friendly and efficient service that exceeds expectations.
* Remain resilient in a continuously changing environment.
Working hours & Eligibility
This full‑time role requires 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00‑17:00 and Saturday 09:00‑13:30 at selected branches (not all branches are open on Saturday). Applicants must be UK residents over 18 with the right to work in the UK for at least 14 months. Sponsorship is not available. Students on visas that restrict working to fewer than 35 hours per week will not be considered.
Training
You will receive full in‑branch training over 8 days in total, split over two weeks. Training is mandatory; holiday requests cannot be taken during this period.
