Following a period of significant growth, our client is seeking an experienced Associate Solicitor to join their specialist Corporate and Business Team.
The team provides expert legal advice across a diverse range of commercial matters, including:
* Business sales, acquisitions, and reorganisations
* Commercial contracts and trading terms
* Intellectual property and licensing (including software licences)
* Supply, distribution, and manufacturing agreements
* Franchise, agency, and consultancy arrangements
* Shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships
Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Associate Solicitor, you will be a confident, commercially minded professional with proven experience advising business clients on complex commercial agreements. You will:
* Manage a varied caseload involving commercial sales, acquisitions, and contract negotiations
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements and ancillary documentation
* Advise on intellectual property rights and broader commercial risks
* Provide clear, practical legal guidance to support clients’ strategic and operational decision-making
* Develop and manage strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional service delivery
* Contribute to the continued growth and success of the team through business development and networking initiatives
* Support and mentor junior colleagues, promoting best practice and high client service standards

Skills and Experience:
* Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
* Demonstrable experience in commercial and corporate law
* Strong technical knowledge of contract law and related disciplines
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Proven ability to manage workload effectively and work collaboratively within a team
* Commercially astute, with a client-focused approach
* Strong relationship-building skills and a developing professional network
* Proactive approach to business development and contributing to team initiatives
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and other standard business applications
