The Role
We are looking for a capable and detail-driven Sales Ledger & Commissions Manager to take full ownership of our sales ledger, commission calculations and trade buyer finance relationships.
This is a key control role within the business, responsible for protecting revenue integrity across all sales activity. You will ensure accuracy of reporting, manage complex commission structures, issue invoices, and act as the first point of contact for trade buyers on financial matters.
This is not a junior processing role - we are looking for someone who can take ownership and operate with confidence.
Sales Ledger Ownership
• Full responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of all sales data
• Issuing accurate and timely sales invoices
• Reconciling sales totals and investigating discrepancies
• Maintaining clean and accurate records within Xero
• Supporting month-end revenue reconciliation
Commissions Management
• Calculating and preparing complex dealer commission statements
• Ensuring commission calculations are accurate, transparent and defensible
• Acting as the go-to person for all commission-related queries
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies quickly and professionally
Trade Buyer Liaison
• First point of contact for all trade buyer finance queries
• Managing invoice questions and payment discussions
• Building strong, professional working relationships
• Chasing outstanding payments when required
Stock & Operational Support
• Supporting end-of-quarter stock takes
• Assisting with reconciliation of stock to sales records
• Working closely with operations to ensure alignment between physical and financial data
Skills & Experience
• Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, reconciliation work essential)
• Experience using Xero or similar cloud accounting software• Solid bookkeeping background
• Experience managing sales ledger and/or commissions
• High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Confident communicator, comfortable dealing directly with trade buyers
Desirable
• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
• Experience in a commission-based or multi-channel sales environment
