This is an exciting opportunity to form part of a new Special School Nurse team within Wirral providing care to children with medical and clinical need within these schools .

You should possess excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills together with an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. An in depth knowledge of the current health agenda relating to children's services is essential.
About us
You will be joining a proactive skill mixed team working together to deliver and support needs for children within Wirral Special Schools. As part of the 0-19 Service which includes Health Visiting and School nursing you will be working closely with other local statutory, health and voluntary agencies to provide accessible, person centred packages of care in response to individual and local need. You will be working in partnership across the areas .

Person Specification
Qualifications and professional training
* Registered Nurse (Adult/Child)
* Evidence of recent professional development
* Modules at level 6 - Public Health Related
* Solihull Approach trained
* Motivational Interviewing trained
Experience and knowledge
* Knowledge of Paediatric Health Care needs and priorities
* Knowledge of child development
* Knowledge of safeguarding issues and working with vulnerable families.
* Understanding of role within the Public Health Team
* Two years post registration
* Experience of data collection for reports
* Previous experience or working in a community environment
Skills and attributes
* Good verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to use email, internet and word processing software
* Ability to work as part of a team and independently
