Summary
We are seeking a Customer Operations Team Leader to support the Customer Operations Manager in the daily running of the team. You will work closely with Sales to build long-term customer relationships by meeting service level agreements, following consistent operational processes, communicating clearly with stakeholders, and delivering to agreed timescales.
You will supervise the Customer Operations Administrators, oversee process delivery, and provide training when needed. You will also collaborate with management to identify and implement improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
This is a varied and fast-paced role, and while responsibilities are wide-ranging, not all tasks will be required every day.
Working Hours: 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday)
Responsibilities
* Day-to-day supervision of the Customer Operations team, providing support to ensure effective delivery of processes that meet customer requirements.
* Encourage positive team morale and engagement alongside the Customer Operations Manager and provide regular feedback in relation to any issues/ challenges within the team.
* Provide overall expertise on the day-to-day operations of the Customer Operations team and ensure an efficient handover has taken place through periods of annual leave and/ or sickness where needed.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business, working collaboratively to ensure customer requirements and service standards are met.
* Attend both internal and online customer meetings as and when required, to support the overall team and the Customer Operations Manager.
* Provide operational cover in the absence of the Customer Operations Manager during periods of annual leave and/ or sickness. Ensure an efficient handover has taken place.
* Work with the Customer Operations manager to support the department’s responsibility to deliver the requirement of managing the customer sales order book.
* Escalate customer complaints to the Customer Operations Manager and support their solution in a positive, timely and effective manner.
* Assist with updating and developing all department work instructions and process flows within our CAP Management System.
* Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions, with a particular focus on reducing cost and risk to the business and improving efficiency, accuracy and commercial contribution.
* Training new starters and ensuring the team are up to date in line with the Customer Operations Administrator Skills Matrix.
Qualifications
* Process driven with a keen eye for detail
* Computer literacy – good understanding of Microsoft Office365 and CRM systems
* Strong organisation and communication skills
* Maintain professionalism at all times.
