Michelin experience would be a plus but to be clear, my client is not interested in chasing stars and awards, just wants to be known for producing amazing food in stunning surroundings that make people go away and think Wow that really was exceptional. You would have your own R&D Cookery kitchen which will be entirely yours to be creative in about to be purpose built for you. You would be working for a demanding and fast paced Entrepreneur who is a passionate foodie and admires people who have grown a business from scratch, this would be amazing, as then you understand what it takes. Naturally as Culinary Director over the 4 hotels you would need to be financially astute, a passionate leader and a fab motivator of teams.
My client is looking for someone who is great at all the important stuff behind the scenes in the kitchen not just the front of house Creative piece.so someone who is a real doer, great at H&S, compliance, planning, motivating and driving teams, succession planning retaining the best people in the kitchens, someone who can earn their keep, someone who can head up cook offs with the teams, someone who is very diligent in all that they do, great at costings, recruitment, basically a real grafter that can make anything food happen!
My client moves fast and thinks fast, he likes to buy into someone within first 5 minutes of meeting them he is fab at recruiting the best people and believes in retaining them. Above all else we need a great chef who lives and breathes food - the sky is the limit with this role -you can become a well known named chef of the group really make this your own.
