The Role & You
Working closely with the Senior Buyer, youll be instrumental in maximising the success of your assigned FMCG categories. This role is perfect for a proactive, financially astute individual ready to take ownership and deliver fantastic value and newness for customers.
Key Focus Areas:
* Category Ownership: Take accountability for developing, negotiating, and managing a specified product range, delivering set KPIs.
* Strategic Sourcing: Identify and develop new range opportunities. Youll visit suppliers and their factories to negotiate costs, draft contracts, and explore new sourcing requirements.
* Insight & Strategy: Utilise customer insights and market data to identify trends and shape category strategies, including detailed research and analysis (e.g., cost benchmarking) to identify saving opportunities.
* Collaboration & Leadership: Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, work cross-functionally across the business, and provide coaching to junior team members.
The Package
* Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 DOE
* Location: West Midlands
* Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in the office)
