Pilgrim's Europe are seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Business Unit Lead into our Lamb division, reporting directly to the Pork / Lamb Business Unit Director.
Within this opportunity you will have full end to end ownership of the Lamb business unit and it's respective operations sites to drive the overall business performance of the lamb business; encompassing procurement, sales and operational sites to ensure optimal profitability, maximise performance and enhance management structures providing clear strategic direction.
As the Business Unit Lead you will have direct leadership of Site Directors, Commercial and Procurement to drive increased profit, efficiency in livestock procurement, decrease in costs and continuous improvement to drive growth.
The role will be based either in Uxbridge or Llanidloes – requirement to travel to sites essential .
Skills & Knowledge :
* 5 years' experience operating at a senior level in a business unit leadership role covering operations/ planning / supply chain / commercial role
* 10 years' experience leading, growing and developing teams
* Operational knowledge, preferably within lamb
* Commercial understanding around mix / revenue / margin
* S&OP understanding
* Excellent communication and leadership and collaboration skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Operational interface experience
* Commercial leader experience
* Equipment / capital input experience
* Ability to travel as the role requires
* Flexible to support 24/7 operations
