Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026.
The new team has three locations: the Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany), one of the most modern of its kind in Europe; the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland), known for innovative technologies; and the Sauber Motorsport Technical Center in the UK, operational this year. Our Power Unit is developed in Neuburg, while Hinwil focuses on chassis and race operations.

Position:
The position is based at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany.
Responsibilities:
* Develop combustion process and gas-exchange via 3D-CFD simulations.
* Conduct thermodynamic development of the internal combustion engine, including gas-exchange, combustion phases, and flow simulations of intake and exhaust systems.
* Plan, perform, and evaluate 3D CFD simulations with proper reporting.
* Create correlations with measurement data from engine testing and testbenches.
* Develop processes and improve workflows and toolchains for simulation and data correlation.
Your Profile:
* Technical degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, fluid mechanics, or related fields (bachelor's, master's, Diplom, or Dr.-Ing.).
* Several years of professional experience in internal combustion engine development and 3D CFD simulation.
* Broad knowledge of engine technology and virtual development toolchains.
* Experience handling data from testbenches.
* Excellent teamwork, organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility.
* Ability to work independently and precisely.
* Proficiency in German or English; willingness to learn the other language is a plus.
