Position Summary:
We are seeking a Wind Blade Chemist for our Research and Development department. The candidate should have experience in industrial paints/coatings. The position is based in Newcastle, UK, or open to relocation. Other locations may be considered case by case. The role reports to the R&D Director of Europe.

Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare project requests or research proposals.
* Develop new products, conduct investigations, and apply creative problem-solving and formulation skills.
* Execute laboratory projects, assess effectiveness, develop findings, draw conclusions, and present reports.
* Contribute to research programs through communication and participation in technical teams.
* Meet project goals within time, quality, and budget constraints, proactively keeping projects on track.
* Coordinate work of team members, anticipate and resolve conflicts.
* Maintain technical expertise in wind blade industry and technologies.
* Communicate technical information effectively to departments, suppliers, and customers.
* Adhere to safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
* 7+ years experience in R&D related to wind blade coatings.
* Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Science and Technology, or Polymer Science.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems effectively.
* Proficiency in computer applications including spreadsheets, databases, and internet tools.
