Job summary
University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. Responsibilities
* Manage the procurement and stock control of medicines in Aseptic services.
* Operate across the UHNM Pharmacy Procurement team and Aseptic department.
* Support medicines procurement functions, including ordering, invoicing and to-follows.
* Liaise with suppliers to support the timely purchasing of medicines and to follow up any outstanding orders.
* Involved with the stock management of materials used for the preparation of Aseptic medicines.
* Not required to participate in the preparation and manufacture of these items.
Qualifications
* Essential Qualifications:
o 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English
o Standard keyboard skills and knowledge of software programmes including Microsoft Word and Excel
o NVQ2 in Pharmaceutical Services, or be willing to work towards and successfully complete this.
* Desirable Qualifications:
o CIPs level 2 or equivalent relevant qualification i.e. finance / admin.
o NVQ Business administration or equivalent relevant qualification.
* Experience:
o At least 2 years' experience in a similar role.
o Knowledge of administrative procedures including processing orders and invoices, filing and answering the telephone.
o Advanced keyboard skills and ability to produce and manipulate spreadsheets.
o Ability to work unsupervised and alone within departmental guidelines/SOPs.
o Know when to escalate for guidance on technical matters.
o Previous experience of dealing with customers and difficult queries.
