As we move towards the vision of trainee pharmacists being prescriber-ready upon registration by 2026, NHS Tayside has a unique opportunity for a dynamic pharmacist to join our Pharmacy Education & Training (E&T) team.
This newly created post focuses on coordinating, developing, and delivering experiential learning (EL) opportunities for student and trainee pharmacists. Working in partnership with NHS Education for Scotland, Schools of Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy Employers and NHS Tayside teams, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of pharmacy education.
This full-time position includes 4 sessions for practice in a GP clinical pharmacy setting and you will be supported to develop your practice across the four pillars of core advanced practice.
Key responsibilities:
1. Expand the EL programme and supervision infrastructure over the next 3 years.
2. Review and enhance the modular foundation training programme.
3. Support delivery of wider education and training across NHS Tayside
4. Ensure quality monitoring and development of both student and trainee pharmacist programmes.
Were looking for someone who:
Is GPhC-registered
Holds a post-grad qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent
Is an independent prescriber (or working towards it)
Has excellent communication, team-working & time management skills
Is passionate about supporting learners and driving educational innovation.
