Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Door Joiner to join our team on a temporary basis for a project based in Cardiff. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire doors in accordance with current legislation and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Install new fire-rated doors and frames to manufacturer and compliance specifications. Carry out fire door inspections, maintenance, and remedial works. Ensure all work complies with fire safety regulations (BS 8214:2016 & relevant UK standards). Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Adhere to health and safety regulations on site at all times. Liaise with site managers, contractors, and clients as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a joiner with specific experience in fire door installation and maintenance. Up-to-date knowledge of fire door compliance and building regulations. NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent trade qualification. FIRAS, BM TRADA, or similar fire door accreditation (preferred but not always essential). CSCS card (essential). Full UK driving licence (desirable, depending on job mobility). Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
