Job Description for Test Technician
Day to day activities include:
* Working with Test engineering team, prototype, build and troubleshoot test systems and cable assemblies for design, production and external suppliers
* Assist in Subassembly testing of PCBAs and electromechanical components
* Document test systems assembly, bring-up and troubleshooting guide
* Develop and carry out preventative maintenance activities for electromechanical test fixtures
* Proactively manage inventory of test equipment to minimize downtime for test-stand assembly build
* Provide input and improvement ideas for fixture designs and process
Skills desired:
* Able to read and interpret electronic circuit schematics and troubleshoot failures down to a component level
* Formal training or education as an Electronics Technician
* Prior experience working on electrical systems and proficiency of basic test equipment like multimeters, oscilloscopes and signal generators
* Ability to solder SMT PCB components using a microscope or reflow equipment is a big plus
* Basic computer skills with experience in command-line operating systems such as Linux
* Support quality team with failure data entry into tracking tools and perform simple data trend analysis using Excel
* Working knowledge of CAD software, such as SolidWorks or CATIA
* Practical hands-on experience with mechanical systems and fabrication
* Experience with test automation is a plus
* Experience working with robots and/or robotic systems preferred
* Self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative team-based environment with minimal supervision
* Travel between local sites required

The base pay range for this position is between $33.18 to $42.94 per hour. Base pay will depend on multiple individualized factors including, but not limited to internal equity, job related knowledge, skills and experience. This range represents a good faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
