We are looking for an Finance Assistant to join our successful team based at our head office in York. You must live local to York. As our next Finance Assistant you will support the Finance Manager by assisting with accurate financial data, reporting, and processes to help ensure smooth and compliant daily finance operations.***You will be working in a fast-paced commercial environment where you will be speaking and building relationships with our commercial teams. Having strong personable relationship building skills is key to this role***. Role Details:• Annual Salary up to £28,000k depending on experience • Role based: New Lane, Huntington, York, YO32 9PT - You must live local to York. • Contract type: Permanent• Annual leave of 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and opportunity to buy an additional 5 days. In this role you will be required to:• Analyse financial data and assist non-finance colleagues in understanding the financial implications of decisions and issues.• Support the preparation and reconciliation of monthly management accounts, ensuring deadlines are met.• Identify and take corrective action to maintain accuracy and timeliness of financial information.• Assist in preparing monthly profit & loss, cash flow, and capital forecasts.• Support the annual budgeting process by helping ensure reports are completed accurately and on time.Our Ideal Candidate• A Level qualifications or equivalent.• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above• Are you a finance graduate looking to start a career in finance and have the passion and drive to learn and develop? • Strong relationship building skills within a commercial environment • Are you experience working in a finance department – This is not a transactional role. • Financial Administration• Great Communication Skills • An analytical mind set with strong attention to detail, problem solving, organisational skills.NOTE: If we receive a high volume of applications for a role, we reserve the right to close a vacancy earlier than scheduled.Benefits & Opportunities• Contributory pension including life insurance benefit• A range of dedicated health and wellbeing services• Cycle to Work Scheme• Employee Benefits Program (Discounts at 100s of shops, gyms, restaurants and even holidays!)• Learning & development opportunities and resources• Opportunity for career progression• A chance to give back to your community with an annual volunteering day
