Paid search is a critical acquisition channel at Compare My Move, driving high-intent demand across removals, conveyancing, surveying, house clearance and mortgages. The decisions made in this channel carry real commercial impact.
We’re looking for a Senior Paid Search Specialist to take ownership of our high-value, complex paid search activity across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and other relevant platforms, with responsibility for performance, budget and optimisation decisions.
This role is hands-on and technical, with scope to influence how paid search operates as the channel continues to scale.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Plan, run and optimise complex paid search campaigns across Google Ads and other relevant platforms
* Own paid search performance end to end, from structure and bidding strategy through to optimisation and reporting
* Manage andallocatesignificant budgets where decisions directly affect efficiency and commercial outcomes
* Define and run structured testing strategies to improve conversion,efficiencyand return on investment
* Diagnose performance issues methodically, including intent drift, auctionpressureand structural inefficiencies
* Analyse performance using tools such as GA4 and Looker Studio to surface insight and opportunity
* Work closely with SEO, Content and Design to improve landing page performance and user journeys
* Represent paid search in cross-team discussions, providing clear, evidence-led input on performance and direction
You’ll also contribute to documentation, standards and knowledge sharing to help strengthen paid search capability across the Paid Media team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
* Significant hands-on experience owning paid search performance in a commercial environment with clear revenue,ROIor efficiency targets
* Strong technicalexpertiseacross Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, including hands-on use of Google Ads Editor and Microsoft Ads Editor
* Proven accountability for managing significant budgets and commercial risk
* Strong understanding of bidding strategies, account structure,keywordsand pacing
* Experience analysing performance data and turning insight into measurable performance improvement
* Advancedproficiencyin Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivottablesand advanced data analysis
* Confidence presenting results,trade-offsand recommendations to senior stakeholders
* Experience partnering cross-functionally with SEO, Content,Designand commercial teams to deliver performance outcomes
