Jennifer Griffiths Recruitment are seeking a Carpentry & Joinery Technician to support our client. This temporary role involves assisting with practical teaching environments, maintaining equipment, and supporting learners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain an appropriate practical working environment
* Prepare materials, tools, and equipment for use
* Check, maintain, and where possible repair equipment
* Keep the workshop clean, safe, and organized
* Maintain stock levels and accurate inventories of tools, equipment, and materials
* Assist in supervising learners within the workshop
* Organize the issue and return of tools, equipment, and materials
* Participate in risk assessments of practical activities
Requirements:
* Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline
* English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent)
* Relevant technical experience in Carpentry & Joinery
* IT literate
* Ability to operate and maintain machinery and equipment
* Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
* Strong organizational and communication skills
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely over extended periods.
* Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus.
Working Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Rate of pay: £13.45 per hour
